The Ohio Senate today passed Senate Bill 1, sponsored by State Senator Troy Balderson, which aims at helping Ohio’s unemployed and underemployed find work through continued education and job training.
Senate Bill 48, sponsored by State Senator Troy Balderson, today cleared the Ohio Senate by a unanimous, bipartisan vote. The legislation aims to expedite the transfer of liquor permits within a municipality in order to lift unnecessary and repetitive regulations on our small businesses.
Ohio Senate President Keith Faber today appointed State Senator Troy Balderson (R–Zanesville) to serve as the Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. During the previous legislative session, Balderson served as the Vice Chairman of the Senate Energy and Public Utilities Committee, a panel that has been modified as part of the committee restructuring in preparation for the 130th General Assembly.
As part of the Opening Ceremonies of the 130th General Assembly, State Senator Troy Balderson (R–Zanesville) was today officially sworn in as the Senator for the 20th District. Balderson was first appointed to the State Senate in 2011 to fill the unexpired term of State Senator Jimmy Stewart. Prior to his appointment, he was twice elected to the 94th District of the Ohio House of Representatives, serving Muskingum and Coshocton Counties.
