Beagle grants approval of Abbot Labs' Tipp City project in Controlling Board appearance
Columbus -In his first appearance as a substitute member on the state's Controlling Board, State Senator Bill Beagle today voted for the approval of a $1.6 million grant for Abbot Laboratories to develop a new manufacturing facility in Tipp City. Part of the funding will be used to create 241 new full-time jobs at the new location.

Columbus - The State Controlling Board today committed more than $3.5 million for revitalization projects in Southwest Ohio.  This funding received the full support of State Senator Bill Beagle and came at the request of the Ohio Department of Development.  Support for both projects will be allocated through the Clean Ohio Revitalization fund.

Beagle touts $10 million for workforce expansion
Columbus - The State Controlling Board today announced that a total of $10 million will be released over the next two years to help bolster ongoing job creation and commercialization efforts at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) and Springfield Air National Guard Base (SANG).  In addition, the Wright State Applied Research Corporation has agreed to provide roughly $900,000 in matching funds for both fiscal year 2012 and 2013.

Columbus - Today, State Senator Bill Beagle applauded the Ohio Controlling Board's release of over $1.4 million dollars to two Montgomery County entities. Behr Dayton Thermal Products LLC is set to receive $186,000 to assist in their massive upgrade and expansion campaign, while the Edison Materials Technology Center (EMTEC) will draw on a $1.25 million award in order to continue its networking efforts with Ohio's manufacturing community.

The funds will be used to purchase machinery and equipment as part of the company's efforts to meet additional customer demand. As a result, 62 new, full-time jobs will be created and an additional 130 jobs are expected to be retained as a result of the upcoming expansion project.

Columbus- State Senator Bill Beagle announced the Ohio Senate has voted to approve Senate Bill 5, landmark legislation that reforms Ohio's collective bargaining laws to provide greater transparency and give state and local government the tools to more effectively manage their personnel and costs. Beagle appointed to Ohio Commission on Fatherhood
Columbus- State Senator Bill Beagle today announced that he has been appointed to the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood by Senate President Tom Niehaus (R- New Richmond). The 20-member panel is tasked with increasing public awareness of the critical role fathers play by funding statewide fatherhood programs, making policy recommendations regarding fathers and engaging the community. The commission is also responsible for organizing a state summit on fatherhood every four years.
