A lifelong resident of Western Hamilton County, State Senator Bill Seitz has worked to represent the best interests of the Greater Cincinnati area at the Statehouse. | Columbus - The Ohio Senate voted this afternoon to enact needed reforms to Ohio's elections system, approving Substitute Senate Bill 8, legislation sponsored by Senator Seitz. The bill seeks to address several provisions in state law that have created confusion and controversy for voters and local boards of election in recent years, including abolishing the current five-day window where voters can simultaneously register and cast a ballot, known as "Golden Week"; streamlining early voting procedures; and strengthening transparency of voter registration data in order to prevent fraud. | |
