COLUMBUS – State Senator Edna Brown (D-Toledo) today expressed her disappointment that the state budget passed by the Ohio Senate failed to take advantage of the opportunity to reinvest in public safety and education in Ohio’s communities.
Columbus – State Senator Edna Brown (D – Toledo) is pleased to announce the passage of Kelsey’s Law (SB 5) by the Ohio Senate today by a vote of 32-1. The bill, introduced by Senator Brown, would assist law enforcement officials when responding to certain emergency situations such as abductions.
Columbus – Today, Kelsey’s Law, SB 5, was voted out of the Senate Public Safety, Local Government and Veterans Affairs Committee. Columbus –Today, Missey Smith, the mother of Kansas teenager Kelsey Smith, who was abducted and murdered in 2007, testified in support of Kelsey’s Law (SB 5) during a hearing of the Ohio Senate Public Safety, Local Government and Veterans Affairs Committee.
