State Senator Lou Gentile (D-Steubenville) is serving his first full term in the Ohio Senate, representing the 30th Senate District.  Senator Gentile currently represents Jefferson, Carroll, Harrison, Belmont, Noble, Monroe, Washington, Meigs and portions of Athens and Vinton Counties. In January of 2014, Senator Gentile was elected to serve as the Assistant Minority Whip of the Senate.

07.31.15 - Senator Gentile Announces $1.8 Million For Coal Development Projects

 

Columbus- State Senator Lou Gentile (D-Steubenville) announced that the Ohio Coal Technical Advisory Committee (Coal TAC) has approved over $1.8 million in coal development projects, through the Ohio Coal Research Consortium, a program administered by the Ohio Coal Development Office.

SHADYSIDE, OH—Senator Lou Gentile (D-Steubenville) and Representative Jack Cera (D-Bellaire) today applauded the Shadyside Lady Tigers Softball Team for winning the Ohio High School Athletic Division IV state championship.  Sen. Gentile and Rep. Cera presented the team with a Senate and House Resolution honoring players for their efforts and the contributions they have made to the Shadyside community.

04.20.15 - Senators Gentile And Schiavoni Introduce Resolution Urging Congress To Oppose "Fast Track" Trade Agreements

 

Columbus—Today, Senate Minority Leader Joe Schiavoni (D-Boardman) and Senator Lou Gentile (D-Steubenville) introduced Senate Concurrent Resolution 3 in the Ohio Senate to protect Ohio jobs. The bipartisan legislation, which has the support of Senator Tom Patton (R-Strongsville), urges the United States Congress to oppose fast track legislation on trade agreements such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
