Karen L. Gillmor proudly represents Ohio’s 26th Senate District. With over 30 years of public service experience, Senator Gillmor has had a significant impact on the state of Ohio and its citizens. Senator Gillmor is serving on a number of Senate Standing Committees including: Insurance, Commerce, and Labor, Energy and Public Utilities, and Agriculture. Additionally, she was named the Vice Chair of the Senate Health, Human Services, and Aging Committee. Her highest legislative priority is economic development and creating jobs for Ohioans.

| Columbus- State Senator Karen Gillmor today announced the state Controlling Board has approved a $250,000 Rapid Outreach Grant to GE Lighting to assist with the purchase of new machinery and equipment at its plant in Bucyrus. The company is proposing to consolidate some of its operations and turn the facility into a center of excellence for the production of its linear fluorescent bulbs, a move that will create 100 new full time jobs and retain 185 others. | |
