Senator Eric H. Kearney serves as Minority Leader of the Ohio Senate and represents the 9th Senate District.  A life-long Cincinnatian, he is a graduate of St. Xavier High School.  He earned an A.B. in English from Dartmouth College (where he was president of Casque and Gauntlet Senior Honor Society).  He received his J.D. from the University Of Cincinnati, College Of Law (where he was president of the Student Bar Association).

05.31.13 - Senate GOP Tax Cut Would Be "Windfall For The Wealthy"

 

Columbus –Today, Senate Democratic Leader Eric H. Kearney (D-Cincinnati) called on Senate Republicans to re-think a proposed tax cut that would benefit wealthy out-of-state investors more than small business owners.  Earlier this week Senate Republicans reinserted a tax cut into the state budget bill (HB 59) that would allow business owners to deduct half of their income up to $750,000—an idea first proposed by Governor Kasich.
