State Senator Keith Faber has been dedicated to representing the views and best interests of the residents of western Ohio. After serving three terms in the Ohio House of Representatives, Senator Faber is honored to serve as State Senator for Ohio’s 12th Senate District, which includes Allen, Champaign, Mercer, Preble, Shelby and parts of Auglaize and Darke counties. In the Senate, Faber has quickly risen through the ranks. For the 129th General Assembly, he was elected by his fellow Senators to serve as the Senate’s President Pro Tempore– the number two post in the chamber. He also plays a leadership role on a wide variety of issues by virtue of his committee assignments, which not only keep him busy when in Columbus, but give him a seat at the table when many policies that directly impact the lives of his constituents are developed.

| Columbus - In response to the recent announcement that the U.S. Department of Defense will end the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV) program in order to trim defense spending - a move that would result in the loss of 200 jobs in Lima - State Senator Keith Faber and State Representative Matt Huffman (R-Lima) issued the following statement: "We are deeply concerned by Defense Secretary Gates' decision to end funding for the EFV, as the project not only holds tremendous promise in better protecting America's troops but also plays an important role in the economic vitality of northwestern Ohio.
