State Senator Keith Faber has spent the last decade representing the views and best interests of the residents of western Ohio. First elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2000, where he served three terms, Senator Faber has served as State Senator for Ohio’s 12th Senate District, which includes Allen, Champaign, Mercer, Preble, Shelby and parts of Auglaize and Darke counties, since 2007. In the Senate, Faber has quickly risen through the ranks. For the 128th General Assembly, he was elected unanimously by his fellow Senators to serve as the Senate’s Majority Floor Leader – the number three post in the chamber. He also plays a leadership role on a wide variety of issues by virtue of his committee assignments, which not only keep him busy when in Columbus, but give him a seat at the table when many policies that directly impact the lives of his constituents are developed.

Faber announces funding for roadwork improvements to support Lima Energy Company's expansion project, creation of 100 new jobs
Columbus -State Senator Keith Faber recently announced that the state Controlling Board has approved the release of a $500,000 roadwork development grant to reconstruct a portion of Main Street in the City of Lima in support of Lima Energy Company's new facility, a project that is expected to create more than 100 new, full-time jobs.

Faber announces funding to rehabilitate former Fox River Paper Mill, create 100 new jobs
Columbus -State Senator Keith Faber recently announced that the state Controlling Board has approved the release of $3 million in Clean Ohio Revitalization Funds in support of demolition and remediation activities at the former Fox River Paper Mill property in Urbana. Once clean-up activities are complete, the site will be redeveloped into a new facility for Weidmann Electrical Technology, Inc. to design and manufacture electrical insulation for oil-filled transformers, a project that is expected to create 110 new jobs.

Columbus - During a meeting of the Senate Environment & Natural Resources Committee, State Senator Keith Faber today urged his fellow Senators to support Senate Bill 241, legislation he has sponsored that would permit drilling on state land. Statement from Senator Keith Faber
Columbus - Today, two Ohio Supreme Court decisions upheld as constitutional House Bill 498 of the 125th General Assembly. HB 498, sponsored by then Representative, now Senator Keith Faber, provided important tort protections for Ohio employers by ensuring that injured workers receiving workers' compensation benefits may not also sue their employer for damages unless they can prove the employer acted "with a deliberate intent to cause injury."  Regarding the decision, Senator Faber issued the following statement.

Faber introduces legislation to limit campaign contributions from gambling interests
Columbus - Following up on a commitment made as part of the state budget bill, State Senator Keith Faber today introduced Senate Bill 170, priority legislation that would limit to $500 the amount those involved in the gambling industry may contribute to political campaigns. The legislation is needed to ensure the appropriate protections are in place in light of the Governor's executive order which authorized video lottery terminals to be installed at Ohio horseracing tracks.
