22nd Senate District

Larry Obhof is serving his first term in the Ohio Senate, where he proudly represents the families of the 22nd Senate District, encompassing Medina, Holmes and Wayne counties and portions of Ashland County. Obhof has spent much of his career focusing on public policy issues such as health care, education, and property rights – and he will put his knowledge and experience on these and other issues to work on behalf of his constituents.
For the 129th General Assembly, Senator Obhof has been named vice-chairman of the Judiciary Committee, which reviews legislation pertaining to Ohio’s criminal and civil justice laws. He will also serve as a member of the Education Committee, the Financial Institutions Committee and the Government Oversight and Reform Committee.
In addition to his legislative duties, Obhof also works at the Cleveland office of Baker & Hostetler LLP and is an Adjunct Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he teaches courses on legislation. He received his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and his law degree from Yale Law School.
Obhof resides in Montville Township with his wife Nicole. They have two daughters.
