Lou Gentile (D-Steubenville) was appointed to serve Southeastern Ohio in the 30th Senate District in December 2011. The 30th Senate District includes Columbiana, Tuscarawas, Belmont, Harrison and Jefferson Counties. He previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives, where he represented the 95th House District. Prior to joining the General Assembly, Senator Gentile served as Assistant Director in Ohio’s Governor’s Office of Appalachia under former Governor Ted Strickland. Senator Gentile was raised in Steubenville and is a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School and West Virginia University.

Senators Gentile Calls for Additional Resources to Monitor Earthquakes
Columbus - In response to the recent earthquakes in the Youngstown area, State Senators Lou Gentile and Joe Schiavoni (D-Canfield) have called for general revenue funding to be restored to the Division of Geological Survey, the state agency responsible for monitoring earthquakes in Ohio.

Columbus - State Senator Lou Gentile (D-Steubenville) was sworn into office to represent Columbiana, Tuscarawas, Belmont, Harrison and Jefferson Counties in the 30th Ohio Senate District. Senator Gentile previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives since 2010.
