State Senator Lou Gentile (D-Steubenville) is serving his first full term in the Ohio Senate, representing the 30th Senate District.  Senator Gentile currently represents Jefferson, Carroll, Harrison, Belmont, Noble, Monroe, Washington, Meigs and portions of Athens and Vinton Counties. In January of 2014, Senator Gentile was elected to serve as the Assistant Minority Whip of the Senate.

Columbus – Today State Sen. Lou Gentile (D-Steubenville) was sworn in as Assistant Minority Whip of the Ohio Senate. The swearing in ceremony took place during Ohio Senate Session this afternoon. Gentile was elected late last year to fill one of four Democratic Leadership positions in the legislature.

Columbus— State Senator Lou Gentile (D- Steubenville) announced today that Senate Bill 82 co-sponsored with Senator Troy Balderson (R-Zanesville) passed the Ohio Senate with unanimous support. Both Senators represent portions of Athens County, which is home to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.

Columbus— State Representative Jack Cera (D-Bellaire) and State Senator Lou Gentile (D-Steubenville) are reacting to the announcement that Ormet will be forced to curtail operations after the October 2nd ruling by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.  The PUCO denied a majority of Ormet’s request for an energy transition plan that would have allowed Ormet to construct an on-site natural gas power plant.  Rep.
