04.10.13 - Senate Approves Bill Making Adena Pipe Official State Artifact

 

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Senate today unanimously approved legislation sponsored by Senators Frank LaRose and Kevin Bacon (R- Village of Minerva Park) that declares the Adena Pipe as the official artifact of the State of Ohio. The idea for Senate Bill 33 was brought to LaRose and Bacon by a group of elementary students who have been studying the history of Ohio and investigating the origins of the Adena Pipe.
