State Senator Chris Widener represents the 10th Senate District, which includes Madison, Clark and Greene counties. Before coming to the Senate, he served three terms as the State Representative for the 84th House District. An architect by trade, Senator Widener brings strong interpersonal skills, a dedicated work ethic and a keen attention to detail to his job as a legislator. He engages with witnesses in committee and his fellow senators about key issues. He spends hours researching important bills. COLUMBUS — During today’s Senate session, State Senator Chris Widener recognized Austin Fooce, an eighth-grade student at Jonathan Alder Junior High, for winning the Junior High State Wrestling Title in the 176-pound weight class. Fooce went 45-0 during the season, and is the first state wrestling champion for the school.

Feucht – a four-time state qualifier who placed fourth in last year’s tournament – is the third state wrestling champion for West Jefferson.
