Today, state Senators Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) and Sean J. O'Brien (D-Bazetta), along with House Assistant Minority Leader Kristin Boggs (D-Columbus) and State Rep. Tavia Galonski (D-Akron), will introduce legislation to modernize Ohio's rape code. This legislation would eliminate both the statute of limitations for sex crimes and spousal exemptions for rape, sexual battery and other sexual offenses.

Today, Cox Communications is awarding the Parma City School District a $12,000 Cox Charities Community grant. Cox Charities, the company's charitable giving initiative, supports afterschool and summer learning programs focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) learning.
