Ohio Senate Minority Leader Kenny Yuko (D-Richmond Heights) and state Senator Edna Brown (D-Toledo) announced today they will introduce a resolution in support of federal legislation to protect the pensions of 66,000 Ohioans and 1.5 million American workers and retirees.

Today the U.S. Supreme Court issued its decision on the Janus vs. AFSCME case, stating that public-sector unions' fair share fees, collected from employees who decline to join a union but still benefit from their negotiations, are unconstitutional. The decision will essentially bring "right to work" to public sector workers across America.

Today, Senator Edna Brown (D-Toledo) testified on Senate Bill 75 before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. The bill helps protect homeowners from facing unforeseen property liens due to a previous owner's unpaid water bills.

Today, Senator Edna Brown (D-Toledo) announced that she and Senator Stephanie Kunze (R-Hilliard) will introduce a bill focused on reducing solicitation of prostitution in Ohio by increasing penalties for "johns" seeking to exploit women. Recent reports have shown that there has been an increase of solicitation in Ohio communities largely related to Ohio's opioid epidemic.
