Burke Again Chosen to Lead Senate Health, Human Services and Medicaid Committee
February 12, 2019
COLUMBUS—Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) today appointed State Senator Dave Burke (R-Marysville) to once again serve as Chairman for the Senate Health, Human Services and Medicaid Committee.

"Investing in proven best practices and health outcomes continues to be a critical aspect of our state's overall health policy," said Burke. "I am honored that I will continue to have the opportunity to work with my colleagues to help drive policies that not only keep Ohioans healthy and safe, but also maintain fiscal responsibility in our programs and keep the costs of healthcare attainable for everyday Ohioans."

Over the years, Burke has demonstrated extensive knowledge and expertise of the healthcare industry and Medicaid program. In addition to his work as a legislator, he pulls from his experience owning and operating Dave's Pharmacy in Marysville with his wife, Donna.

Additionally, Senator Burke will serve as Vice-chair of the Senate Standing Finance Committee. In this role, he will be closely involved with the oversight and passage of the State Biennium Budget, the most expansive piece of legislation passed each general assembly.
