COLUMBUS—State Senator Dave Burke
(R-Marysville) yesterday was presented with the Hero Award by the Ohio Council for Home Care and Hospice (OCHCH) for his tireless work on issues important to home and community-based service providers and the people they serve.
"It was an honor to be here today among so many passionate, selfless and professional caregivers," said Burke. "I applaud all of your continued efforts, and I look forward to continuing to work with you to help those in need. Remember to stay connected with both local and state advocates and resources so that, together, Ohio can continue to move the needle in a positive direction."
Each year, OCHCH hosts an awards program to recognize outstanding individuals for service and care they provide in their community. Other awards included the Homemaker/Aide of the Year in Home Care and Hospice awards, the Caring Award, Award of Excellence in Home Care, Volunteer of the Year Award and the Advocacy Champion Award.
Established in 1965, OCHCH is a non-profit association that represents the interests of health care at home providers in Ohio.
