COLUMBUS—State Senator Jay Hottinger
(R-Newark) completed the 132nd General Assembly without missing a single floor vote, marking the twenty-sixth consecutive year of perfect attendance during his service in the Ohio Senate, Ohio House and Newark City Council.
“Serving the people of the 31st Senate district is something I take great pride in doing," said Hottinger. "I am proud of my perfect record of attendance because it is an honor to be our community’s voice on important issues we care about such as creating jobs and making our hometowns safer.”
In addition to his voting record, Hottinger serves on several important committees in the Senate and has led efforts to make it easier for families to save for their children's college education, to ensure the children impacted by Ohio’s opioid crisis have the services they need and worked to keep a local dropout prevention and recovery school from closing its doors.
