COLUMBUS—On Monday, State Senator Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) announced Controlling Board approval to release capital funds in the amount of $424,000.00 for renovations at Heartland Behavioral Healthcare in Massillon, Ohio.
"This investment will help improve the quality of care for residents of northeast Ohio who are struggling with mental illness,” said Senator Oelslager. "I commend the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services for their continued commitment to help provide a safe living environment that allows residents to get the treatment they need throughout our state."
The funds will be used for infrastructure renovations that include elevator control upgrades.
Heartland Behavioral Healthcare is a state owned and operated, in-patient behavioral healthcare facility in Massillon, Ohio. Founded in 1898, Heartland Behavioral Healthcare provides inpatient care for acutely mentally ill adults from northeastern Ohio.
