Senate takes action to improve integrity of Ohio elections
Columbus - The Ohio Senate took action today to improve the integrity and accountability of Ohio's election system with the passage of a landmark voting reform bill.

"We're about to become the center of the political universe again, and we're taking this action well in advance of the 2012 election to ensure that Ohio's system is fair, honest and completely accessible to qualified voters. Statement on Governor Kasich's first 100 days
Columbus - Ohio Senate President Tom Niehaus issued the following statement today regarding Governor John Kasich's first 100 days in office:

"Ohioans have made it clear that they want us to focus on creating and saving jobs, while getting the cost of government under control. That has been the driving force of our agenda in these first 100 days, and we continue to work every day with Governor Kasich and his administration to build on those priorities. I'm proud of the leadership role the Senate played in the successful passage of the Governor's innovative JobsOhio program. We were able to deliver the bill with overwhelming bipartisan support from 31 of our 33 members. We also crossed party lines to win approval for new tax incentives that kept thousands of jobs from leaving Ohio, as well as legislation designed to break through Ohio's job-killing regulatory barriers.
