For the second time in four months, the Republican-controlled Ohio Senate today passed the six-week abortion ban, Senate Bill 23.

On the heels of the historic passage of Ohio House bill 62 allocating $100 million each year for public transportation, two members of the Northeast Ohio delegation tell the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) that if the tax passes the Ohio Senate and becomes law, the investment will help the millions of people who depend on public transportation to get to their jobs, schools and doctors. And those positive impacts will be felt across Ohio's economy.

Today, state Senator Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) released the following statement regarding Governor DeWine's announcement to freeze the use of the death penalty in Ohio until a new method can be developed and then deemed constitutional by the courts. 

State Sen. Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) announced today that she has introduced Senate Bill 11, the "Ohio Fairness Act," to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity in employment, housing or public accommodations.
