Fedor Supports Removal Of Former House Speaker
June 16, 2021
Today, state Senator Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo) released the following statement after the Ohio House of Representatives voted to remove former Speaker Larry Householder (R-Glenford) from office:

“This is the second time in recent years that the most powerful Republican in the Ohio House has been investigated by the FBI. While today’s vote sent the right sign to bad actors, we have a lot more work to do to ensure this never happens again. We need to reform Ohio’s campaign finance laws, abolish corporate personhood and get dark money out of politics. It is imperative that we do everything we can to restore Ohioans’ trust in government institutions.”

The removal of the former Speaker comes almost a year after he was indicted on federal racketeering charges. Householder was removed by a 75- 21 vote.
