McColley Applauds Whirlpool Corporation Investment in Ottawa
November 17, 2021

COLUMBUS—State Senator Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) today applauded the announcement by Whirlpool Corporation that they will invest more than $65 million over the next several years into their factory in Ottawa, Ohio.

"The Whirlpool factory in Ottawa is an economic cornerstone of the area," McColley said. "This investment is a boon to the hardworking people of Ottawa, and I am always happy to see industries invest in American manufacturing, especially in Northwest Ohio."

The investment will include an expansion of the Ottawa plant to accommodate the production of premium refrigeration products and is expected to create over 100 additional jobs. The expansion project is set to begin mid-2022.
