McColley Leads Students in "Mock Session"
COLUMBUS – This week, students from Kenton High School toured the Ohio Statehouse, and had the opportunity to meet with State Senator Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) and State Representative Robert Sprague (R-Findlay) as part of their visit. As participants in Mock Trial and American Politics at Kenton High, the students had the opportunity to see their state government up-close, and ask questions of their elected officials.

“I was happy to invite this group of bright young students to the Statehouse,” said Senator McColley. “It is encouraging to see so many young people interested in public service. I have no doubt that they will someday be a great asset to their communities and to Northwest Ohio at large. I am proud to represent members of such a selfless and civic-minded community.”

The students, during their visit to the Ohio Senate Chamber, were led by Senator McColley in a short “mock session” to demonstrate how a bill becomes law. In addition to visiting the Senate, they met with Rep. Robert Sprague in the Ohio House of Representatives and also toured the Ohio Supreme Court building.
