State Senators Bob Peterson (Washington Court House) and Joe Uecker (Miami Township) announced the approval of state funds today for facility improvements at Ohio University Southern Campus.
"Investments like these demonstrate to job creators that we are serious about maintaining state-of-the-art academic centers that facilitate the job-training that our region needs in order to attract good-paying jobs," said Peterson.
The state released $950,000 for electrical and HVAC upgrades to three facilities on the Ohio University Southern campus.
"Ohio University Southern Campus serves as the economic development hub for much of southern Ohio," said Uecker. "Preparing a top-notch workforce for our region means investing in the facilities at OU Southern."
Facility upgrades will be made to the Academic Center, Collins Center and Riffe Center. The announcement follows approval from the Ohio Controlling Board on Monday.
