COLUMBUS—Today, the Ohio Senate passed legislation that prohibits public schools and institutions of higher education from requiring vaccines that have not received full Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval. State Senator
Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson) released the following statement:
“The Covid-19 vaccine has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. As such, I do not believe that anyone should be forced or coerced into taking this vaccine, nor discriminated against should they elect not to take the vaccine.
While this provision does not go far enough to protect ALL Ohioans from such mandates, it is a step in the right direction for Ohio’s students and teachers.”—State Senator Kristina Roegner
