COLUMBUS—The Honorable Mary Katherine Huffman of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas today administered the oath of office to State Senator Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson), marking the beginning of the 134th General Assembly.

"I am honored to continue working with my colleagues here in Columbus and representing the people of the 27th Senate District," Roegner said.

During her first two years in office, Senator Roegner served as the Chair of both the Sunset Review Committee and Ways & Means Committee. Her Senate legislative accomplishments also include reducing government red tape, improving the efficiency of state boards and commissions, modernizing Ohio's Limited Liability Company statute and protecting life.

Prior to serving in the Senate, Senator Roegner served eight years in the House of Representatives. As State Representative, Roegner successfully championed legislation aimed at reducing government regulation to promote economic growth, workforce development efforts and improvements to Ohio's state's education system.

Roegner and her husband, Eric, have three daughters and live in Hudson.
