COLUMBUS— Senator Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson) today welcomed a group of students from Junior Leadership Hudson to discuss public service and learn about the day-to-day life of an Ohio legislator.
The students were also able to attend Ohio Senate session where they were recognized by Senator Roegner, tour the statehouse and learn about the deep and rich history of the state capital building and legislature.
“Junior Leadership Hudson is an exceptional program and it was an honor to host these talented students today,” said Roegner. “These young people have tremendous futures ahead of them and I genuinely enjoyed their visit to the statehouse.”
Junior Leadership Hudson was created in 2009 and includes students from both Western Reserve Academy and Hudson High School. Participation in the program includes 16 hours of community service, six off-campus learning days, and two presentations, as well as several trips to meet and learn from various government and industry leaders.
