COLUMBUS—Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) and State Senator Michael Rulli (R-Salem) praised the announcement of a new mission and ownership group for the former GM factory in Lordstown. Lordstown Motor Corporation is buying the factory from General Motors.

Senator Rulli who represents the 33rd district said, “We never gave up on the workers, and the community. The workers resiliency and the fabric of this community lights the way to the future of the Mahoning Valley. Our people are ready to get back to work.”
Lordstown Motor Corporation’s website shows the plan to make a new all electric powered pickup truck called the Endurance, as well as plans for all electric fleet vehicles.
