Today, Ohio Senate Minority Leader Kenny Yuko (D-Richmond Heights) criticized the Republican members of Congress who announced that they will contest the results of the presidential election and object to Joe Biden’s Electoral College win.
“Members of Congress took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and that means they have a duty to uphold our country’s democratic processes,” said Yuko. “It is reprehensible that Republican lawmakers are attempting to subvert the votes of millions of Americans. Joe Biden won the presidential election. President Trump lost. It is time for Republicans to accept this and move on.”
In Ohio, U.S. Representatives Jim Jordan, Bob Gibbs, Warren Davidson and Bill Johnson said they will seek to stop the certification.
