Fedor Announces Believe in Ohio Statewide STEM Innovation & Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program
March 24, 2022
Today, state Senator Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo) announced a new scholarship opportunity for high school students across Ohio to recognize their contributions to STEM innovation and entrepreneurship through the Ohio Academy of Science.

“STEM is the future, and careers in this field provide a living wage with benefits that can support a family,” Fedor said. “Toledo Public Schools realized this years ago and have multiple STEM+M (Science, Technology Engineering, Math and Medicine) Academies. We have some amazing students that are excelling in this area, and I encourage all who are eligible to apply for this scholarship opportunity.”

The Believe in Ohio Statewide STEM Innovation & Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program hopes to award at least one $1,000 scholarship in each of Ohio’s 99 State House districts and 33 State Senate districts. To be eligible, students must distinguish themselves in a significant, rigorous STEM or entrepreneurship competition, research project or published manuscript that demonstrates the applicant’s potential to become a future innovator. Applicable students must be a junior or senior in good standing at any Ohio high school with 3.0 grade point average or better, provide a copy of their current transcript, write an essay, and a letter of recommendation. The deadline for submissions is April 18, 2022.
