COLUMBUS—State Senator Frank Hoagland
(R-Mingo Junction) today welcomed Buckeye Local High School Principal Coy Sudvary to the Ohio Statehouse to congratulate him for being named Principal of the Year by the Jefferson County Educational Service Center.
"Coy has gone above and beyond to ensure his students are well educated and prepared for anything life could throw at them when they graduate," said Hoagland. "I was honored to have him join me in the Statehouse today to tell me more about the young men and women he impacts every day. It is clear why he is so deserving of this prestigious recognition."
After a rigorous nomination and review process over a number of months, Sudvary was presented the award during a breakfast ceremony for superintendents and administrators from throughout the ESC's school service area.
"I appreciate Senator Hoagland taking the time to congratulate me on this award and discussing some of the important education policies they are working on in the Ohio Senate," said Sudvary. "He truly has the best intentions for the kids of Southeast Ohio, and is a strong advocate for making our education system the best it can be."
