COLUMBUS— State Senator Jay Hottinger (R-Newark) today applauded the announcement made by Kohl's to open a distribution center in Etna, Ohio, creating an estimated 684 full-time positions.
"The decision by Kohl's is further proof that Licking County is one of the hottest economic development locations in our state," said Hottinger. "Kohl’s is the latest in a string of great companies investing and growing their business in western Licking County."
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 1.542 percent, 12-year tax credit for the Kohl's facility, which is expected to generate $22.5 million in annual payroll.
"This announcement, creating 684 new jobs, is evidence of our work in the Statehouse, focused on making Ohio the most attractive place in the nation to make investments, start a business and establish a career," added Hottinger. "This is a very welcome addition that continues the diversification of our employer base.”
This site will be the third of its kind in the state of Ohio, with existing facilities in Findlay and Hamilton.
