COLUMBUS—State Senator Jay Hottinger
(R-Newark) completed 2020 without missing a single floor vote in the Ohio Senate, marking the twenty-eighth year of perfect attendance during his twenty-nine years of public service in the Ohio Senate, Ohio House and Newark City Council.
“Serving the people of the 31st Senate district is something I take very seriously," said Hottinger. "Being present for every vote is essential to being the voice of my constituents on the many important issues that come through the Ohio Senate.”
Hottinger currently serves as the Majority Whip of the Ohio Senate. During the upcoming 134th Ohio General Assembly, which begins in January, he will serve as President Pro Tempore, the second-highest ranking official in the Senate.
