Senator Hottinger presents a resolution to Morgan McCutcheon on the Senate floor during session.

COLUMBUS—State Senator Jay Hottinger (R-Newark) today presented a resolution honoring Morgan McCutcheon, a senior from Utica High School, who was recently crowned as the 2018 Ohio Fairs’ Queen.

“Ohio’s future is bright thanks to young people like Morgan McCutcheon," said Senator Hottinger. "I was honored to recognize Morgan in front of the Ohio Senate today for her commitment to community, academics, and Ohio’s number one industry: agriculture."

Morgan was selected as Ohio Fairs' Queen by the Ohio Fair Managers Association from a field of 77 county and independent fair queens. In 2018, Morgan will travel throughout Ohio visiting county and independent fairs in all 88 counties to help showcase Ohio’s agricultural community and economy.

Morgan is a resident of Licking County and a senior at Utica High School where she is a member of the National Honors Society, a senior class officer and on the women's volleyball team. Morgan plans to attend Ohio State University next fall to study nursing.
