Hottinger Issues Statement on Raising Water Levels at Buckeye Lake
March 1, 2017

COLUMBUS—State Senator Jay Hottinger (R-Newark) today released the following statement regarding the decision from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to raise water levels at Buckeye Lake:

“On a rainy day, it is fitting that we are closing the spill gaps at Buckeye Lake and taking steps to restore normalcy back to the Buckeye Lake community. ODNR's decision means local businesses will again see large summer crowds coming to enjoy the renovated state park. For the residents and others who love Buckeye Lake, it means they will be back on the water sooner than originally expected.”
