Maharath Applauds Funding for Central Ohio Investment Projects

Today, state Senator Maharath (D-Canal Winchester) praised the Ohio Senate’s passage of the state’s Capital Budget, which includes $9,425,000 for 13 economic development projects in Ohio’s 3rd Senate District. 

“I am pleased to announce the allocation of nearly $10 million in State Capital Budget funds to community projects throughout Senate District 3,” said Maharath. “These initiatives include everything from the creation of new walking trails to the construction of an addiction crisis center and a new transportation hub.”

 Local projects in the bill include:

- The O.P. Chaney Grain Elevator and Historical Complex Rehabilitation Project
- Lockbourne Magnolia Trail
- Rickenbacker Area Mobility Center
- East Side Dental Clinic
- Franklin County Mental Health and Addiction Crisis Center
- Columbus Museum of Art: Enhancing Museum Accessibility
- Prescription for Revitalization: Charitable Pharmacy and Fresh Food Market
- LSS Faith Mission Shelter Renovation
- Mid-Ohio Farm on the Hilltop
- Otterbein University Innovation Expansion
- Minerva Park Amphitheatre Restoration
- Sanctuary on Sullivant
- Bridgeway Academy’s “Transforming out Future” Comprehensive Campaign

The Capital Budget includes $2 billion in funding for capital improvement projects around the state. The bill now goes to the Governor for his signature.
