COLUMBUS—Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) and Governor Mike DeWine today recognized Campbell Miller of Ontario at the Statehouse for being named a 2019 National Guard "Military Child of the Year" award recipient.
Miller, 17, was one of seven winners of the national award, which represents all branches of the armed forces and is awarded to individuals who demonstrate academic excellence, volunteerism, leadership and extracurricular involvement, while facing the challenges of military family life.
"Campbell has been an exemplary student who has spent hundreds of hours volunteering for his communities over the years," said Obhof. "I am happy to join Governor DeWine in recognizing his achievements."
