COLUMBUS—In response to the release of the recent jobs report, which shows that Ohio added 13,900 new jobs in October, State Senator Larry Obhof issued the following statement:
“Ohio’s unemployment is at its lowest rate in four years, and is now a full point below the national rate.
“However, while we added nearly 14,000 jobs last month, far too many Ohioans are still looking for work. We remain committed to making improvements in areas like workforce development and helping Ohio’s small businesses attract investment.
“In order to reach our full potential, we need Washington to take some cues from what we’ve been able to accomplish in Ohio in the last two years, starting with common-sense regulatory reform and sound fiscal management.”
