COLUMBUS-Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) announced today that the Ohio Senate concurred with House changes to Senate Bill 5, legislation which unanimously passed earlier this year strengthening criminal penalties for individuals who are convicted of promoting prostitution in Ohio. The bill is part of a comprehensive statewide effort to fight human trafficking.

COLUMBUS-Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) today joined Governor Mike DeWine, Department of Agriculture Director Dorothy Pelanda and the family of Tyler Jarrell at the Statehouse, for the signing of Tyler's Law. The bill was named for Tyler Jarrell of Columbus, who tragically lost his life on an amusement ride accident at the 2017 Ohio State Fair.

COLUMBUS-Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) today announced the passage of legislation that will help protect against overdose deaths. Senate Bill 59 will require the State Board of Pharmacy to develop a program to educate pharmacists and their employees about their ability to dispense the overdose-reversing drug naloxone without a prescription. Obhof co-sponsored the bill, which recently passed the Senate with a unanimous vote of 31-0.

COLUMBUS-Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) today announced the passage of legislation that exempts feminine hygiene products from the state sales tax. The Senate voted 30-1 for Senate Bill 26, which Obhof co-sponsored. The bill will save women across Ohio more than $4 million each year.
