Announcing 133rd General Assembly Senate Committee Assignments
February 15, 2019

COLUMBUS— Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) this week appointed State Senator Bob Peterson (R-Washington Court House) to several important Senate committees for the 133rd General Assembly.

Peterson, who was recently chosen to serve his second term as President Pro Tempore, will serve as Vice Chairman of the Senate Rules and Reference Committee. The committee is responsible for assigning bills to other committees for deliberation and determining when they will be scheduled for a vote by the full Senate.

In addition, Peterson will also serve as a member of the Senate's Agriculture and Natural Resources, Energy and Public Utilities, Insurance and Financial Institutions, and Government Oversight and Reform committees, as well as Finance Higher Education Subcommittee.

"It is an honor to be the voice of our district on these committees, and I look forward to the work that is before us," said Peterson. "I strongly encourage anyone who wants to be involved in the committee process, or has questions or concerns regarding any of the bills we are considering, to contact my office at any time. I look forward to working with you."
