Today, the Ohio Senate announced the Senate committee lineup for the 134th General Assembly. Senator Cecil Thomas (D-Cincinnati) has been appointed to serve as Ranking Minority Member on the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Veterans and Public Safety Committee.

Today, the Ohio Senate passed Senate Bill 175, which includes the controversial Stand Your Ground legislation that removes the duty to retreat in almost any public space and will likely lead to more violent confrontations and gun deaths.

Today, the Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus elected its leadership team for the 134th General Assembly, beginning in January 2021. The caucus voted to re-elect Senator Kenny Yuko (D-Richmond Heights) as Minority Leader.
