Senator Yuko Reacts to Macy's at Richmond Town Square Closing
Over 100 jobs to be affected
January 9, 2015

RICHMOND HEIGHTS—Today, State Senator Kenny Yuko (D-Richmond Heights) issued the following statement after it was announced that the Macy’s location at Richmond Town Square will be closing its doors after 17 years of business:

“I am extremely disappointed to learn that Macy’s will be vacating their location in Richmond Heights,” said Senator Yuko. “Since 1998, our community has benefited from the presence of robust shopping centers that are convenient for families and help grow our local economy.”

“While this decision is incredibly unfortunate, and will have a ripple effect in these workers’ families, their neighborhoods, and the community at large, I remain committed to working with business, civic, and political leaders in our region and across the state to create and retain quality jobs for all Ohioans.”
