Relay For America Crosses 30th Senate District

COLUMBUS— Relay for America, an effort commemorating the 250th anniversary of The United States by carrying a single American Flag on foot across the country, crosses through the 30th Senate District today.

"We are honored to have this historic venture cross through our district," said Senator Chavez. "It is inspiring to see Americans from all walks of life carry our nation's symbol from coast to coast."

Relay for America's path takes them through Harrison, Jefferson, and Belmont counties before crossing the Ohio River into West Virginia. Senator Chavez encourages all Americans to go out and support this historic commemoration of our nation.
