Lang Announces Investment Into Butler County Infrastructure

COLUMBUS —State Senator George Lang (R-West Chester) announces an investment by the Ohio Department of Transportation into two infrastructure projects within Butler County.

"A robust, modern transportation infrastructure is essential to foster economic growth," said Senator Lang. "By investing in these Butler County projects, the Ohio Department of Transportation is improving the economic potential of southwest Ohio."

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced $8.5 million to support 24 transportation projects across 21 counties as part of the Transportation Improvement District Program. The two Butler County projects are:

  • $450,000 for the NHX River Crossing Project
    • The funding from this award goes toward the detailed designing of a new bridge over the Great Miami River and a roundabout at US 127 in the City of Hamilton.
  • $151,125 for Princeton Road Improvements
    • The funding for this award goes toward the detailed designing for widening Princeston Road in Fairfield Township.

The funding for these awards came as part of the Transportation Improvement District Program, with the goals of job creation and retention, economic development, intergovernmental collaboration, and public-private investment. $8.5 million was awarded to support 24 projects across 21 counties.
