Senator Cirino Celebrates Kirtland Football State Champions

COLUMBUS—Senator Jerry C. Cirino (R-Kirtland) recognized his hometown team from Kirtland High School in the Ohio Senate for winning the OHSAA Division VI State Football Championship.

"I am so proud of the hard work and dedication made by this team," said Cirino. "Their win is an incredible achievement for their school and the people of Kirtland, myself included, as a whole. I look forward to watching these student-athletes have even more success both on and off the field."

The Kirtland Hornets defeated the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains 41-6 to win the school's eighth state championship in football, becoming the seventh school in Ohio to achieve that mark.
