Wilson Announces Additional State Funding to Help Addicts in Warren County

COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) applauded Monday's controlling board approval to release $77,445.00 of state assistance to OneCity Against Heroin to aid in their continued fight against addiction by helping fund an important community health facility in Mason, Ohio.
A partner agency of the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Warren & Clinton Counties, OneCity Against Heroin is purchasing and renovating a 1,488 square foot, two family home in Warren County that will be used to provide up to six beds for level III recovery housing. Specifically, this facility will house men who are are in the early stages of maintaining their sobriety and would benefit from a more structured living environment.
"As we continue to seek new and innovative ways to help those battling addiction, I am happy to see the state investing in these much needed community treatment and recovery centers," said Wilson. "Something as simple as having a bed to sleep in and a stable support system can make all the difference when individuals are working to turn their lives in a more positive direction."
Referrals for the use of the home will come from the Heroin Hopeline, community service providers, drug courts, treatment facilities, and the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Warren and Clinton Counties.
