Wilson Touts Local Economic Development Projects
COLUMBUS—State Senator Steve Wilson (R-Maineville) is proud to see new jobs created as a result of two economic development projects in Warren and Hamilton Counties.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) recently approved tax credits for DSI Engineering, LLC in Deerfield Township and Flavor Producers, LLC in Sharonville.
"These projects achieve what I have always known, that Southwest Ohio is ripe for job creation," said Senator Wilson. "Ohio's economic opportunities are immense and these developments are just one piece of it. I look forward to seeing the positive effect both of these projects will have on the region."
DSI Engineering provides consulting and design engineering services to industrial manufacturing companies in chemical, renewable fuel, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and other process heavy industries. Their planned expansion and relocation expects to create 29 jobs with $4.7 million in payroll. The project was approved for a 1.696%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit by the TCA.
Flavor Producers utilizes natural, organic, and plant-based flavors and extracts to develop ingredients utilized by other food and beverage manufacturers. Their new project is an investment in a new spray drying process to increase capacity at the Sharonville facility and grow its flavoring business. A total of 44 new jobs and $3.5 million in payroll will be created. The project was approved for a 1.337%, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit by the TCA.
