San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Sacramento.

All home to a radical far left funded effort to take down Ohio’s surging oil and gas industry.

Recently a little known group of progressive leftists from Athens County have attempted to generate headlines attacking injection well operations in Southeast Ohio.

It’s the same old playbook. Act as if they are just a bunch of concerned citizens, while taking high six figure donations by progressive operatives who have a mission worthy of endorsements by Greta Thunberg and Al Gore.

Meet the Buckeye Environmental Network. Its mission: Empowering grassroots organizations, individuals, and local communities to advocate for environmental justice.

However, reality is buried in the group’s IRS 990 filing.

California Leftist Organizations Funding Attack on Ohio's Oil and Gas Industry

In 2023, the little ole’ grassroots group took in nearly $500,000 from the following California progressive left organizations.

Resources Legacy Fund from Sacramento donated $150,000.

The Schmidt Family Foundation from Palo Alto donated $100,000.

United States Energy Foundation from San Francisco which shills for unreliable and costly wind and solar generation donated $97,500.

The Tides Foundation from San Francisco donated $105,000 to the Buckeye Environmental Network.

Yes, you’re right!  That’s the same Tides Foundation that gave $2 million to the failed political gerrymandering power grab known as Issue 1 that Ohio voters sent packing last fall. Each one of these organizations represent radical agendas that quietly fund so-called "grassroots" and "good government" groups at the local level.

The Buckeye Environmental Network is nothing by a lie.  It is funded by environmentalist fanatics, who suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, who hate republicans, and hate the reliable, affordable, clean energy that is generated by natural gas.

It's another example of the elitist, entitled, and always offended who can perpetually lie because of their coastal dark money overlords, just to get something published in today’s corporate media.

Recently Marietta City Council passed multiple motions encouraging the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to investigate future approval of injection wells in Washington County. Breaking news! The ODNR already does that. Who was there to testify? A member of the group funded by the California leftists, who the Marietta Times described as an “environmental organizer.” The problem with today’s media is that they do little to no background work about who these people are, who they are funded by, and how they don’t really care about anything other than padding their own interests, at the expense of good people in small towns.

The only thing "green" these groups care about are the hundreds-of-thousands of dollars donated by their radical leftist benefactors.

Everyone wants clean water, clean air, and a healthy environment. People also want reliable and affordable power. If you combined the natural gas resources of Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, it would be the third largest energy reserve in the world.

Energy Law Attorney Laura Goins, testified before Marietta City Council and laid down the law. The Marietta Times quoted her as saying, “Injection wells, when properly constructed and regulated, are the safest and most scientifically supported method for disposing of oil field grime.”

The result is plentiful natural gas that can power the grid long into the future.

Senator Brian Chavez has been a target of the leftist group. He stepped away from the oil and gas company he led, after the people elected him to serve in the Ohio Senate. He serves as the Chairman of the Senate’s Energy Committee and helped guide the unanimous passage of Senate Bill 2, Ohio’s 21st Century Energy Bill, that became the initial blueprint for the law later passed by the Ohio General Assembly. That’s right, Democrats joined Republicans in the Senate to pass the bill unanimously.

Watch our coverage of Governor DeWine's signing ceremony for Ohio's new Energy Policy.

Senator Chavez joins the President's Podcast this week to set the record straight about this radical attack on your energy source.

The Buckeye Environmental Network isn’t really “Buckeye,” and it isn’t really “Environmental.” The “Network” represents wealthy progressive leftists from California who could care less about Ohio, and much less any hard working family in Southeast Ohio or Appalachia.

Without injection wells, there is no hydraulic fracturing, therefore no natural gas industry. They know that, and they don't care. They'd prefer you rub two sticks together in the wintertime and run your home heating off friction.

They think they’re smarter than you. They love to lecture, yet they live a life of hypocrisy. They are a well-funded syndicate with a mission of putting the oil and gas industry out of business in favor of their alternative industry donors, and it will always come at your expense.

We are happy to be the watchdog.
