Ohio's New Centers for Civics and Government Forging Path for Intellectual Diversity on Campus

The Ohio State University, University of Toledo, Miami University, Cleveland State University, and Wright State University are the first five public universities in Ohio to host Intellectual Diversity Centers on campus that embrace the mission of civics, government, and open debate without fear of being labeled an outcast by what has become a campus cancel culture of group think.
At some point curriculums became politicized, if not weaponized, by today's far left driven culture wars.
Senate Bill 1, the Advance Ohio Education Act that is now law, recentered the role of higher education by making it clear that education is the mission rather than indoctrination. Teaching young minds how to think, rather than what to think. Critical thinking skills are needed now more than ever, and our campuses of higher education serve a vital role in making sure Ohio is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
This week, Professor Vladimir Kogan and Professor Stéphane Lavertu join Senator Jerry Cirino for the President's Podcast. Professors Kogan and Lavertu teach at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University and bring insightful perspective about the effort to course correct and advance the curiculum with OSU's Salmon P. Chase Center of Civics, Culture and Society.
